From Doodletown Farm: "It is our great pleasure to present an interesting mix of items you won't find anywhere else. We are continually on the lookout for the unusual: unusual in how they were made, why they were made or how they found their way to the Hudson River Valley. What we look for are not just objects from the past but objects with a past. And often, with a sense of humor.
"We specialize in objects that appeal to us, which is to say, we don’t specialize. You’ll find paintings, folk art, antique jewelry, pottery, textiles etc. We try to keep our prices consumer and trade-friendly. If something extraordinary comes our way that is bigger than a bread box or more expensive than a bread oven we’ll feature it in the 'Special Items' category. These items are can be seen by appointment here at the farm or can be brought the Millerton Antique Center in Millerton, NY which features Doodletown Farm items.
