From West Hills Country Club: "Welcome to West Hills Country Club, founded in 1899 at the half way point between the City of Middletown and the Village of Goshen. What was once lush farmland with rolling hills nestled along the majestic Wallkill River is now the site of one of the Mid-Hudson’s finest golf courses. An incredible design along with impeccable course conditions and exceptional service provide members and guests with an unforgettable golf experience. Our club’s Signature Bridge which spans the Wallkill River was designed and built in 1926 by John A. Roebling & Sons Company, builders of the Brooklyn Bridge.

"To help you perfect your game, West Hills Country Club offers an extensive practice facility including a putting green, driving range, chipping green and bunker area. The full service golf shop also provides members with the finest in golf apparel and merchandise along with a professional staff to attend to your every need. A full schedule of lessons, clinics, league play and tournaments provide ample opportunities to improve your game and experience the camaraderie of private club membership."

The Course
"West Hills Country Club features an eighteen-hole championship course that carries tremendous history and significance in the Hudson Valley. The club was originally opened as “Orange County Golf Club” in 1899 halfway between Middletown and Goshen in an area known as Midway Park. One of the most interesting features at West Hills is the history of the suspension bridge connecting holes on either side of the Wallkill River. The bridge was designed and constructed by John A. Roebling’s Sons and Company (designers of the Brooklyn Bridge) in 1926 and continues to serve the club well to this day.

"One of the most enduring qualities of West Hills is that the course is both challenging and playable for all levels of golfer. West Hills features four sets of tees ranging from 6,813 yards to 5,583 yards. The Wallkill River meanders through the golf course and makes its presence known on our feature hole #11. This hole is played from an elevated tee and the Wallkill River is ever present on the right side for the entire length of the hole. There are few holes in the Hudson Valley which can match the challenge and beauty of #11.

"West Hills features 19 brand new bent grass greens which were installed in 2011. The putting surfaces are as pure as you can find in the area. Plans for the course in the near future include new challenging holes being added to the property and the development of an executive course for new golfers and those looking to sharpen their short game skills. The Club has recently added new tees to accommodate the extra distance new golf technology has brought to the game. We have also added tees for the newer golfer and those golfers who are already challenged by the length and difficulty of the course. The championship course at West Hills Country Club is truly something to behold."
